Mr. Zuckerberg trying to get a little sneaky.

Everything was going so well until the investigation with Russian bots tampering with the us elections

Data breaches

Trials

Instagram and WhatsApp founders exiting

Mr. Zuckerberg has had his plate full for some time now.

And now to try and cool things off there is a possibility that messenger, WhatsApp and Facebook might get integrated

Money money money moneeey

"A better user experience for everyone"

More ways to make money off of all the users

Not to mention more data to be able to track

Privacy is long gone

Privacy has been long gone. Even though it might seem like it’s not that bad. It’s pretty bad.

Data is used for so much more than just your online profile. Not to mention voice such as Alexa starting to take over. The merger would mean more data that would be used and analyzed. Not to mention even more security issues with even more data at risk.

At the end of the day this is just a blog post and the stories about what is happening are just stories. All of this is not set in stone, but it looks like it is going to happen. Having everything under one umbrella is great for Facebook because that means being able to take advantage of all the users and find ways to monetize the process.

The best part is that people will be in shock when it happens but not to the extent to which people will stop using these apps. Why? They have become integrated in our daily lives. Social networks are the new tv networks that have already taken over. The interesting part about all of this is the fact that it’s just beginning.

The new year is here It’s all about those empty promises: Gyms are packed Diets get started A broken record on repeat… But this year is gonna be different Is it really?

The start of something new

The new year is always a time when people think about changing their lives and doing a complete 360.There is nothing bad about that idea. But like always it’s an idea more than an action.

Stop reaching for the skies.. reach for the ceiling first

Changing your lifestyle, habits, and anything else isn’t going to happen overnight. More than anything shooting for a goal that is highly unrealistic won’t do any good. Maybe instead of eating 4 slices of pizza eat 3If you are trying to save money start with a small amount every month or even every paycheck and increase the amount as time goes on

The goal

What’s your end goal? The goal should never be to make more money, to lose weight, to start a diet. You will fail as soon as you start. Those same principles should be having a job you enjoy, live a healthy lifestyle, or time management to be able to spend more time with family or friends.  At the end of the day if you try and live a healthy lifestyle you will end up losing the weight as well.

Staying on track

Stuff happens and nobody is perfect. Sometimes temptations are going to be there. That chocolate cake at the middle of the night might start talking to you. It’s all about enjoying life but also with balance. So enjoy the cake but stay focused on what you want to accomplish.  Starting a new year is never easy. Especially if you have been trying to change every year but it’s always the same. Ask yourself what’s preventing you from making those changes. Most of the time if not every time you will make excuses and blame other people. At the end of the day, you control your own life so take charge and make 2019 the start of something new.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

Busy grocery stores

Traffic

Congested malls

Cranky people everywhere

Houses are decorated with Christmas lights and the inflatable Santa’s begin to roll out.

If you live in California, Christmas is very different than the Christmas you see on tv. If you have ever watched movies like Home Alone and A Christmas Story. The one thing they have in common, is snow. The closest thing Californians get is rain and that’s if it rains.

The one other thing you get to see are thousands of what seem to look like Christmas lights as you sit in traffic if you are traveling.

This holiday month is filled with presents and joy. Spending time with family or friends and enjoying memories that can last a lifetime. It seems like the holiday season is always the time people are most happy and joyous. People often come together and help each other out and go out of their way to make other people smile.

It’s good to remember not everyone is fortunate and has family or friends to spend time with.

Wherever you are

Whomever you are spending this holiday season with

Take a second, sit back, and enjoy the simple things that life has to offer.

A laugh

A smile

A conversation

A hug

Those memories you create with the people around you are the ones that you will remember the most.

That baby face doesn’t help your case either

The fact that most people don’t dress the part

The way you speak

Confidence

The list goes on…

Imagine walking into a room and you are the only one that is in their 20’s

Nobody cares about your opinion, you’re supposed to just take notes, listen, nod once in a while, and never dare to speak.

You have the burden of proof

You could have more experience than some other senior people above you and that won’t change a thing. The simple fact that you are younger is the only proof they need.

You shouldn’t know more than them because that would be wrong. Any time you find a way to prove yourself and do an awesome job. Someway that ends up still hurting you. Why? Because whoever is in charge of you can feel threatened by your ideas.

Be prepared

If you’re straight out of college it might feel like you don’t have much to offer. The number one issue is probably the simple fact that you don’t have any real-world experience. A classroom is one thing but actually doing the work is another. If you don’t have experience, make sure you at least know the basics of what the job requires.

You just graduated so you think you’re finished with school? Think again.

Depending on what you studied, get a certification or take some online courses on sites like Udemy.

Walk the walk

So now you’re excited because you just got your first interview. Now, it starting to sink in. You get butterflies, you can’t sleep, and you’re having dreams about your interview.

You researched the company and are on top of the requirements.

This is where the magic happens.

Think of questions to ask that will stump the interviewer

Such as

-What are a few examples of responsibilities that someone in this position might undertake?

-What is the company culture like more specifically is collaboration something that is welcome?

-Are there any challenges you have seen faced by someone in this position that I can improve on?

Once you’re in do what you do best and show everyone what your made of. People might feel threatened if you’re really good but stand your ground and don’t back down just because you think you’re new or too young. If this happens you know you’re doing something correctly.

The number one key above all is just be prepared. Do your research and do your part to give yourself the best chance possible. Even then sometimes it might not work out. Patience is something that can’t be bought but is a key trait that will open up doors you won’t expect.

As a young adult, no matter where you go criticism will always take place.

Do you have what it takes to do the job?

The answer should always be:

YES!!

There are times where it might seem like everything around you is crumbling down.

Nobody cares.

Everything seems to go against what you want to do.

The after-effects are genuinely remarkable. If you dig deep and look back, you might realize your threshold for pain and struggle can be surpassed. If something else were to happen, you wouldn’t be fazed by it because you now know how to overcome those obstacles.

Not only that, but it gives you an advantage!

Let’s look at a few people that have gone through some tough times

-Jk Rowling

-Stephen King

-Tyler Perry

-Oprah Winfrey

-Lionel Messi

-Michael Jordan

-Dr. Dre

The list goes on and on

If you take a look at almost every success story you, see a common factor they all had, which was some form of adversity.

-Growing up without parents or a single parent

-Growing up without money

-Experiencing hate or prejudice

-Having to work at a young age sacrificing school to be able to provide for the family

-Becoming an adult before actually being an adult

-Losing a loved one at a young age

These examples are not limited to just one person but among all across the board.

So why is it that they were able to go on and achieve amazing things.

They don’t have special powers or anything that makes them different from any of us.

The only difference is the will to fight because it was either fight or get eaten alive.

When someone hits rock bottom or goes through things in their lives, it turns on a switch. Sometimes it takes adversity for change to happen; otherwise, change might not occur.

Fear is part of nature. We experience anxiety and fear when there is uncertainty. When we don’t know what’s next or when something unexpected occurs, but fear also instills a sense of urgency. You begin to attempt things you wouldn’t have if it weren’t for the situation.

When you are fighting for your health, food, or shelter, you have two choices

1.) Give up

or

2) Fight as if there was no tomorrow

Sometimes I look at certain situations I have gone through or what I am currently going through and tell myself “it could be a whole lot worse.”

What is the one thing stopping me from achieving what I want in life

The answer is always

Me

All the b.s. that surrounds our lives is just noise. For some, it’s easy to suppress but for others, it is what we use to validate the things we do or don’t do.

Adversity, challenges, and obstacles might make it seem like it’s the end of the world. But they also help you understand yourself better. In the end, adversity can change the way you think and see the world for the better.
