Mr. Zuckerberg trying to get a little sneaky.

Everything was going so well until the investigation with Russian bots tampering with the us elections

Data breaches

Instagram and WhatsApp founders exiting

Mr. Zuckerberg has had his plate full for some time now.

And now to try and cool things off there is a possibility that messenger, WhatsApp and Facebook might get integrated

Money money money moneeey

"A better user experience for everyone"

More ways to make money off of all the users

Not to mention more data to be able to track

Privacy is long gone

Privacy has been long gone. Even though it might seem like it’s not that bad. It’s pretty bad.

Data is used for so much more than just your online profile. Not to mention voice such as Alexa starting to take over. The merger would mean more data that would be used and analyzed. Not to mention even more security issues with even more data at risk.

At the end of the day this is just a blog post and the stories about what is happening are just stories. All of this is not set in stone, but it looks like it is going to happen. Having everything under one umbrella is great for Facebook because that means being able to take advantage of all the users and find ways to monetize the process.

The best part is that people will be in shock when it happens but not to the extent to which people will stop using these apps. Why? They have become integrated in our daily lives. Social networks are the new tv networks that have already taken over. The interesting part about all of this is the fact that it’s just beginning.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” – George Santayana

Acting like everything is ok and forgetting the past is a sure way to make sure the status quo stays the same.

It’s like magic and misdirection. Putting the focus on another idea, event, or alternative while in the background the real work is being done.

This phenomenon is nothing new

It happens everyday

Right before our very eyes.

Reading history is one thing but actually living through it is something significant.

Taking away something that you already have

Then offering it back to you

Using emotions to control the way you think, feel and react

Controlling without being “forced” ; but even better

Taking over who you are without you realizing it.

Does history really repeat itself? Or are we just programmed to believe that.

Pandemics, genocides, disasters, massacres, extinctions

When you think of these words, certain events in history probably pop into your head

But with all of these words there are more than one example that you might not know about.

History is history, but history doesn’t repeat itself.

People repeat history

When you take time to understand why something happened you can take action and try and change the results if you see the same things happening in the present.

Live for today, remember the past, so that you can help change the future.

Everyone wants the secrets to saving money. I guess it’s your lucky day because today I am going to share with you the top 5 ways to save.

1.) Stop spending money on things you don’t need.

The first and most important thing to do is to stop spending!! You know you don’t need those new shoes, jewelry, and especially that new pristine BMW. Hey, you want to look good and impress some people, fine? Where are those people going to be when it matters?

2.) Instead of going out stay in

Get some beers, cook some food, or even order out. Have some friends over and have some fun. You’ll end up having more and spending less.

3.) Name brand alternatives

It used to be that name brands were the way to go because of premium ingredients and premium quality, but as time has gone by alternative brands have come up and offered comparable products for bargain prices.

4.) Shop around

Unless you need something right that second, take some time and shop around. If your reading this, it means you’re are on some type of portable device. Whether that’s a phone, tablet, or computer. Use whatever method of your choice to check out what stores have a better deal on what you need.

5.) Groupon or other coupons

Oh, wait you’re too good for coupons? Are you worried about other people’s opinions? If that’s the case, I don’t know what to tell you. If you’re really in a pinch. You gotta do what you gotta do. Even if you’re not, it’s still an excellent way to save some money and spend it on something else.

Saving money does not have to be complicated, but it seems like every day we have that voice that tells us to buy. Knowing well that we don’t have the money. It’s always the case where we say, “I’ll figure it out.” Then payment time comes around, and we act like we can’t remember the purchase.  So, remember these wise words, “If you don’t need it. Don’t buy it.”

Reggaetón has been around for a very long time, but why is it that over these past few years Latin artists have been climbing the top 100 Billboard charts?

Crossing over to the U.S market

It’s no surprise that the U.S. is a melting pot of ethnicities. So many people are experiencing these Latin tracks for the first time. Daddy Yankee has been working at it for some time, but artists like J Balvin, Nicky jam, and Bad Bunny have been pushing it to the max.

The collaboration with Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber was a smart move from all parties. Justin Bieber has been one of the few artists that release singles that are always on the top 100 charts. Collaborating with him meant more exposure and reach for Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. Over a million Beliebers nationwide helped get that track to number one. Now, I’m not saying it wouldn’t have done well, but that’s another story in itself.

No translation necessary

Music transcends the language barrier. People can move to the rhythm and beat of a song. Not to mention the fact that for some people, it is an opportunity to sing along and learn a little Spanish. I’m not saying it’s appropriate at times, but it works.

For the artist, it’s an opportunity to take their brand globally. It used to be that releasing a track in Spanish would not do so well. Now you are seeing artists like Bad Bunny who released Mia ft. Drake in Spanish, is doing exceptionally well.

Artists crossing boundaries

It’s interesting to see how an artist like Drake is receiving so much hate from other artists. The simple fact that he was speaking Spanish in a song has received so much attention. Let me remind you that he was also featured in “Odio” with Romeo Santos that was released in 2014. Nobody said anything. Part of it was the fact that it wasn’t as popular in the U.S. at the time. Now it’s an entirely different story with the new track “MIA” that has been topping the charts.

Is the hate coming from the fact that he is changing the game and doing it very well?

Or envy because he is attempting something that not too many would or could.

Branding the right way

It’s the little things that most people don’t think about that make the most significant impact. The simple fact that artists like J Balvin and Bad Bunny are starting to get recognized more in the U.S is a big deal. They are already big artists in the Latin American market but extending that reach is something not too many have been successful in accomplishing. It’s not only good for them but also artists like Drake, who already have a big following.

It’s interesting because this is only the beginning. More and more artists are starting to see that there are vast amounts of opportunities available. Although there is hate thrown at these artists, their opinions don’t matter. Success is measured by their fans and following not by other artists. The bigger the reach, the more people talking, the more listeners means more success.

It might seem like common sense, but why don’t we see more collaborations like this?

I need my Starbucks!

I want my Starbucks!

I can’t live without coffee!

These words sound so familiar for the vast majority of people living in the U.S.

When you think of craft you might be thinking of coffee and beer. You are most definitely correct. Depending on where you live this might not be the case. Being from the San Diego area craft coffee and craft beer is a “thing.” I think if I’m not mistaken this word has transformed from specialty to craft. Why? No one knows. Is it really better ingredients and a more sophisticated process?

The origins

Remember the days when you would go out for a cup of joe. A cup of coffee for the average joe. Nothing special and nothing out of the ordinary and you knew what to expect. All of a sudden, this thing called the caffé latte is introduced in the U.S. Howard Schultz is the one to blame for this. Schultz came in as the director of retail operations and marketing for Starbucks. He saw how popular espresso bars were in Milan and wanted to bring that to the U.S. This is where the journey with “specialty coffee” begins.

So just to make things a little bit more clear. There were small coffee shops making “craft coffee” at the time but none of them made craft coffee mainstream like Starbucks did.

Move over Starbucks because craft is coming

Around the 1990’s – 2000’s craft coffee began to establish its foundation. Starbucks was growing too fast for its own good and independent coffee shops began to see an opportunity to have a piece of the pie. Creating the best cup of coffee was the major focal point. The ingredients and process of making the coffee was now at the forefront. These coffee makers started to go to school to learn more about the coffee roasting process as well as the different ways you could make coffee.

Craft coffee in its current state

Coffee has been changing, evolving, and getting better. Independent coffee shops have been tapping into the different flavors and aromas different coffee beans have. Creating drinks that are delicious and healthier. Compared to going into one of those other places and ordering that grande cup of simple syrup, sugar, and milk.

Coffee the old way or coffee the new way

Aside from just hot coffees, we are also starting to see the emergence of cold brew coffee and nitro cold brew coffee becoming more popular.

It is starting to feel like you can’t just buy a cup of coffee. It has to be some type of latte or espresso drink with a fancy name. Not to mention Cold brew becoming more and more popular.

Coffee makers are taking a page from breweries that started the whole IPA movement. Creating drinks with different ingredients that compliment the coffee beans and adding flavors that you might not expect.

Has coffee making gone too rogue or is it getting better?
